Erica + My | Ribault Engagement Session | Jacksonville, Florida

Love is definitely in the air! We are kicking off the beginning of our spring wedding season this weekend with Erica + My!!

Erica + My met in high school through mutual friends, they admitted that there was always an attraction there but nothing much ever came up. Erica moved away after college but then returned to Jacksonville, Florida. they decided to meet and catch up on life. But even after that meet up, they remained friends.

As they became better friends, started to enjoy each others company, shared laughs and Jacksonville adventures together they couldn't deny what was in front of them. 5 years later, Erica had a diamond on her finger.

I asked Erica what she loves most about My and this is what she said:

His dimples when he smiles and his humor. I think his dimples are what most people notice on him but it just makes my heart melt.  Maybe because I know he is genuinely enjoying a good laugh or happy. He doesn't even mean to be funny but I'm always laughing.  Oh and his sincere affection and ability to comfort me when I'm at my worse.

I asked My the same question

Her drive, determination, outgoingness , her smile, we just clicked. 

Awww you guys, I cant wait to see you two married!!!!

But before we get them married, lets chat a little about their engagement session. Erica wanted their engagement session to be romantic and around old buildings. She wanted something unique. She also wanted it to be around sunset. I sent her a few options for engagement session locations and she fell in love with The Ribault Club.

It was the perfect location for Erica and My to just be themselves in a beautiful backdrop. Below is something Erica told me was really important to her:

“I love active laughing photos. I think it speaks a lot of the couple if they are able to enjoy themselves and giggle a little while they are doing something foreign to them.”

And if you scroll, you better believe they are laughing in almost every photo!! I wish I had an audio clip of Erica’s laugh that I could attach here. It’s so genuine and contagious! i love it!

You’ll see that Erica + My love to have fun together, they wanted to incorporate a few “cheesy” poses in their engagement session just to have and laugh at.

Erica + My, yall are the freaking best and we cant wait to celebrate you! Your wedding is going to be absolutely beautiful, fun and i cant wait to watch you kill it on the dance floor! see you soon!
