After attending 32 weddings together, it’s FINALLY time for Melanie + Jacob to celebrate their own wedding! But their love story didn’t start with weddings, their love story actually could have possibly never happened!
Happy New Year everyone! What better way to start off the new year than to get married?!? I’m so excited to share Melanie + Jacob’s love story and engagement session with you! (You gotta see Rigby in the photos, he definitely stole the show!)
Picture this: December 27th, a few days from the end of the year. This was pretty much the last chance for a bad date of the year. Melanie and Jacob both went in with a casual "why not?" vibe, thinking it might just be another “meh” night. But, it turned out to be the kind of date that changed everything!
Mel actually even had plans to bail after an hour (friends in town, you know the drill), but five drinks, four hours, and three bars later, they found themselves at Groove Music Bar in the West Village. Jacob ended up meeting Mel's besties, and the rest, as they say, is history. He walked home that night, dialing up a buddy and dropping the bombshell: “there was a nonzero chance I was going to marry this girl.”

Fast forward through countless weddings together, 32, to be exact, the duo discovered they were inseparable. From walks with their fur baby, Rigby, to sweating it out together at the gym, these two were practically joined at the hip. Trying new restaurants, jet-setting off to random places, hitting up cocktail bars - you name it, they did it together. Because let's face it, everything's more fun when you've got your best friend by your side.
Now, picture this – Melanie, Jacob, and their adorable pup, Rigby, all ready for the most epic engagement session in the heart of Tribeca – their cozy corner of the world!
Starting off along the waterfront, somewhere they walk daily, Melanie and Jacob set out to capture the essence of their love story. I mean, who wouldn't want to show off your home turf when it's as cool as Tribeca, right?
As the trio strolled along the waterfront, Tribeca's stunning views provided the perfect background to their session. The tall buildings, the taxi cabs, the people walking the streets. It was all so perfect! We then made our way to a cobblestone alley, a spot so Instagram-worthy it's practically famous.
Living in Tribeca isn't just about having a cool address; it's about being part of a neighborhood that feels like home. We wanted their photos to always represent this beautiful stage of their lives. Every time they look back on these photos, we wanted them to remember themselves and think: "This is us, in our element, loving every bit of it!"

Now, as they gear up for their own wedding, Melanie and Jacob are proof that love can spring from the most unexpected places.
