Hannah + Mat| Washington Oaks State Garden Engagement Session|
As wedding photographers, we've had the privilege of meeting so many great couples. But let me tell you about a couple whose connection is just something else. Meet Hannah and Mat. They're not your average couple.
Their story began in the midst of a global pandemic, in a time when the world seemed to stand still. It was May 2020, and both Hannah and Mat found themselves navigating the uncertain waters of online dating. Fate intervened when they swiped right on each other's profiles on the Bumble app.
Despite the challenges of lockdowns and social distancing, Hannah and Mat's connection flourished from the very first message exchanged. As restrictions eased, they eagerly arranged their first in-person meeting at a local sushi spot. Little did they know, that simple rendezvous would mark the beginning of a remarkable journey together.
Their chemistry was undeniable right from their first date, their laughter contagious as they savored sushi. "We didn’t want the night to end" And from then on, their relationship flourished effortlessly.
“We had an amazing relationship from the start. I felt an instant connection with Mat that I had never felt with anyone else, as did he. We both feel more comfortable and like ourselves with each other than ever before. Our relationship is fun and easy and we have been in love since about 3 months after meeting.”
For Hannah, there was something magnetic about Mat from the start. His towering height caught her eye initially, but it was his sense of humor and genuine care for others that truly won her heart. Mat, on the other hand, found himself captivated by Hannah's radiant smile and adventurous spirit, despite the initial skepticism sparked by her allegiance to a certain sports team.
“What’s not love about Hannah? She’s funny, she’s beautiful, she’s incredibly intelligent and kind…but, what I love most about Hannah is how we connect. It’s so easy with being with her. We talk, we laugh, we’re our goofy selves and it just works, it’s easy, it’s natural.”
“We met through the dating app during COVID, so all I had to go off was text and a few photos. Not going to lie, her being a…and I still hate saying this…FSU fan, was a huge red flag, however, her smile and and her sense of adventure had me captivated instantly.”
As their love story unfolded, Mat knew he wanted to create a moment as unforgettable as their love. And so, for Hannah's birthday, he planned a romantic getaway to Paris!! Are you kidding me?? PARIS?! Amidst the breathtaking beauty of Versailles, Mat seized the perfect moment to surprise Hannah with a proposal, a testament to their shared adventures and the promise of a lifetime together.
During Hannah + Mat’s engagement session, we had the privilege of capturing the genuine love and joy that radiates between Hannah and Mat. During their engagement session at Washington Oaks State Garden, the love between Hannah and Mat was palpable. As we wandered through the lush garden paths, it was as if nature itself was celebrating their love story. Surrounded by vibrant blooms and dappled sunlight, they shared tender moments and infectious laughter, their connection shining brightly in every photo.
After capturing some beautiful shots amidst the lush greenery of Washington Oaks Gardens, we decided to head to the beach for a change of scenery. Arriving at the beach, we were greeted by the sight of the Coquina rocks and a beautiful sky. Hannah and Mat held hands on the rocks as the waves crashed behind them.
As the sun began to set, painting the sky in hues of pink and gold, we found the perfect spot for some romantic shots. Hannah and Mat couldn't help but pause to take in the beauty of the sunset, their arms wrapped around each other as they enjoyed the view.
As their engagement session came to an end, Hannah and Mat shared a tender moment, sharing with eachother what they love most about eachother. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful day, and we felt grateful to have been a part of their love story.
