Silvia and Will met the way all hopeless romantics secretly dream of… at a wedding. They were celebrating their best friends, laughing between photos, and soaking in someone else’s love story — completely unaware they were stepping into their own.
What started as two people joking around at a reception turned into something that neither of them could quite stop thinking about. And after that weekend, distance didn’t stand a chance. Four hours on the road quickly became routine—filled with playlists, roadside snacks, and late-night phone calls that stretched way past bedtime. Every weekend together felt like an adventure, and every Sunday goodbye got a little bit harder.
But when two people just fit, you make it work. They learned to love the in-betweens—the road trips, the goodbyes, the countdowns until the next hello. Somewhere along the way, they both knew this wasn’t just something special. This was it.
Fast forward to Will’s 30th birthday trip in Zion National Park. They decided to hike The Narrows—because what better way to celebrate a milestone birthday than wading through icy river water for hours, right? And in the middle of it all, surrounded by canyon walls and the sound of rushing water, Will got down on one knee. Silvia’s first reaction? Making sure that ring wasn’t about to end up in the river. Her second? The easiest “yes!” she’s ever said.
Now, here they are—planning a wedding of their own.
We met up for their engagement session in St. Augustine, wandering through the city’s cobblestone alleys that seem made for love stories like theirs. Each little alley had its own charm, and these two fit right in. Normally, it takes couples a few minutes to warm up in front of the camera—but not Silvia and Will. From the moment we started, they were laughing, whispering to each other, and sneaking kisses before we even asked. They just have that natural ease together.
Silvia’s smile could light up the whole street, and Will? He barely looked away from her the entire time. He knows exactly how to make her laugh, and you can tell it’s his favorite thing to do. They danced their way through downtown like no one else existed—just completely in the moment.
As the sun began to set, we headed to Vilano Beach. The sky turned every shade of blue +pink, the wind swept through her hair, and for a few minutes, it felt like the world slowed down. They held each other close, kissed, laughed, and just soaked it all in. It didn’t feel like a photo session anymore—it felt like we were watching two people fall in love all over again.
From meeting at a friend’s wedding to standing at the altar themselves… this weekend, Silvia and Will say “I do,” surrounded by the friends who witnessed the very beginning of their love story.What an incredible honor it is to capture this part of their journey.
