Some love stories unfold slowly, and some spark in an instant. And some — like Holly and Logan’s — feel like fate quietly working its magic in the background, waiting for just the right moment.
Their journey started in 2018, just a few weeks into freshman year at Florida State University. Holly was in the laundry room when a guy wearing a Mets shirt walked in — a rare sighting in Tallahassee for someone from New Jersey. His name was Sam, and although he turned out not to be from New Jersey at all, he did somehow know something important: Holly needed to meet his roommate, Logan. According to him, they would be perfect together.
Neither Holly nor Logan wanted a relationship at the time, but fate doesn't really follow college timelines. After two weeks of Sam scheming and nudging them into the same room, they finally met… and both instantly realized what Sam already knew.
Holly invited Logan to her sorority date function.
He asked her on a real date.
And the rest? The start of something real.
Their first date was as college-romantic as it gets. Tin Lizzy’s in College Town — walking distance from their dorms. Logan came down two floors to pick her up, and they held hands as they walked the fifteen minutes together, talking nonstop the whole way. Holly says she knew right then… they were going to be something special.
Their love story is stitched into college memories — football games, crowded dorm rooms, late-night talks, movie nights, online classes during Covid, and the comfort of always having each other close. Their friend groups merged, their lives intertwined, and they grew up side-by-side.
“I love how sure he always is that everything is going to work out. I know that no matter what I am stressing out about he has a logical explanation of why everything will all be okay. I love how he doesn't ever take anything too seriously and just enjoys the small moments of life.”
“I love how loving and supportive Holly is. She is always by my side and supports me in all of my thoughts and ideas. She never fails to put a smile on my face, and I just love how we are able to enjoy the little things together. From spontaneous trips, to just lazy days on the couch there is no one else I would rather be with.”
They are opposites in the best way — balancing each other, grounding each other, and choosing each other every day.
And then we got to capture all of that love here — in one of the most romantic cities. 🤍✨
We started at their wedding venue, The Treasury on the Plaza, and the excitement was real. Seeing them where they will soon say I do gave us chills. They’re counting down the days, and honestly… so are we!
From there, we wandered through the charming cobblestone alleys of downtown St. Augustine — stopping along the way anytime the light hit just right. These two couldn’t stop smiling. It felt like the world quieted around them, leaving only laughter, forehead kisses, and soft little looks you only give the person you love most.
Then, we headed to the bay — with views of their venue in the distance — before finishing the evening at Vilano Beach. The whole session felt like hanging out with old friends. They splashed in the water, hugged, kissed, and popped champagne as the sky turned gold and pink. They even shared a Corona, of course — a sweet tribute to those early college days and the memories that shaped their love.
The ocean breeze, the laughter, the glowing sky… it was one of those nights that reminds you love is meant to feel like this — light, joyful, and completely natural.
