ANNA + DIEGO

HISTORIC ST. AUGUSTINE, FLORIDA ENGAGEMENT SESSION

Some love stories begin with a spark.
Theirs began with a dance.

Anna and Diego first met in college at a mutual friend’s party — the kind of night that feels ordinary until something unforgettable happens. They danced bachata together, realizing almost instantly that they shared the same friends, the same taste in music, and the same joy in simply being in the moment. That one dance became the first thread in a story that has now stretched across seven beautiful years.

Their first date was sweet and simple — tacos at a little Mexican restaurant near campus in between classes. But the real spark? That came when Diego brought Anna to her favorite Italian restaurant, secretly arranging for a dozen white roses to be brought out at the end of dinner as he officially asked her to be his girlfriend. That moment was thoughtful, intentional, and completely them — the starting line of countless memories, travels, celebrations, and a move across states together.

And when it came time to propose, Diego made it just as meaningful. During sunset in Vinoy Park, he set up a heart of red roses, candles, and a surprise photographer — and even invited Anna’s family to be part of the moment. As the sky softened and he got down on one knee, their next chapter began.

Today, they love trying new restaurants, going dancing, spending days at Disney, and supporting each other through everything life brings.
She loves his patience, kindness, and caring nature.
He loves her charm, loyalty, and the way she stands by him always.
And from the very beginning, they were drawn to each other’s style, energy, and the way they move together — literally.

Photographing Anna + Diego felt like photographing joy — calm, connected, and full of that effortless sweetness that comes from years of loving someone deeply.

They showed up looking incredible.
Anna wore a romantic, one-shoulder pink-and-white floral dress with layered ruffles — soft, feminine, and so perfect for her vibrant, graceful energy. Diego matched her beautifully in a sharp navy blue suit paired with a crisp white shirt and tie. Together, they looked polished, timeless, and completely them.

We started at the Lightner Museum, where they easily fell into poses that didn’t feel like poses — hand squeezes, quiet smiles, and those little in-between moments that show who they truly are. From there, we wandered through the prettiest alleys, chatting, laughing, and getting to know them even more.

Then we headed to the bayfront, where The Treasury — their wedding venue — appeared behind them in the distance. They twirled, dipped, kissed, and soaked in the beauty of it all. There’s something magical about photographing a couple while their venue peeks over their shoulders… like a whisper of everything that’s about to unfold.

For their second look, Anna changed into a stunning white blouse paired with a sparkling champagne-sequin skirt — elegant and glowing in the soft evening light. Diego complemented her perfectly in a white embroidered button-up shirt and light-colored pants, giving the whole scene a relaxed, romantic, coastal feel. We watched the sunset together as the sky turned pastel, wrapping up the session with warmth and that quiet anticipation that comes right before a wedding day.

And now…
We cannot wait for their wedding this weekend.
If their engagement session is any hint, it’s going to be filled with so much heart, style, and genuine love.

Anna + Diego — your forever is almost here and we cannot wait to capture it all! see you soon!

xoxo
