HISTORIC ST. AUGUSTINE ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Add physics equations, a passion for flight, and just the right amount of Disney magic — and you get the beginning of Emily and Arthur.
When I first heard their story, I instantly smiled—because it’s one of those perfectly unexpected beginnings and reminds me alot of how Jerico and I met. They met in the fall of 2018 through mutual friends, when one of them needed some physics tutoring… and the other just happened to love the subject. What started as study sessions quickly turned into something more. And while the physics semester eventually ended (and despite someone bravely surviving with a C in Physics 😉), their conversations didn’t.
Their worlds may have looked different on paper, but their shared love for aviation and Disney kept pulling them closer together. Over time, they became each other’s constant—standing side by side through demanding careers, changing schedules, and all the growing pains that come with chasing big dreams. Somewhere along the way, their little family grew with the addition of two very fluffy and very loved babies: Nemo and Figment (so cute!!)
Today, Emily and Arthur are both pilots, juggling wildly busy schedules, early mornings, late nights, and miles in between—but somehow always finding their way back to each other. It’s the kind of love that’s steady, intentional, and deeply rooted.
When it came time to choose their wedding venue, it made perfect sense that they landed on Lightner Museum. They wanted a place where their guests could truly enjoy the city, somewhere unique, somewhere no one they knew had been married before. A museum. Full of history. Full of character. A space that feels timeless—just like the love they’re building.
Their engagement session felt like a reflection of all of that.
We started by wandering the beautiful cobblestone alleys of St. Augustine. They walked, laughed, twirled, dipped, and just had fun. Emily and Arthur are effortlessly easy to be around—the kind of couple that makes you forget there’s a camera in your hands. We bonded over Disney (of course), swapped park food recommendations (which we are very excited to try), and just enjoyed being present together.
And if you look closely at Emily’s bow, you might just spot a hidden Mickey—because of course there’s Disney magic woven into even the smallest details.
As we made our way through the city, the sun dipped lower… and then the Nights of Lights turned on. Suddenly, everything felt even more romantic. The glow of the lights wrapped around the streets, the buildings, and the quiet moments between them. It was one of those sessions where you just know—this is exactly where they’re meant to be.
Emily and Arthur, we cannot wait to celebrate you at the Lightner and watch you live out the very best day ever. Your love story has already taken flight, and this next chapter is going to be pure magic. Here’s to a love that soars, a partnership that never loses its way, and a future that’s brighter than Cinderella Castle fireworks ✨
