SYDNEY + TREY
MAGNOLIA AVE + VILANO BEACH, ST. AUGUSTINE ENGAGEMENT SESSION
From the very first moment we met Sydney and Trey, we just knew there was something special about them. You can feel their connection instantly — that kind of love that’s playful and genuine, full of soft smiles, sweet glances, and so much laughter in between. They’re one of those couples who just fit — like they were meant to find each other all along.
Their story began at Stetson University, where music brought them together (and we mean that literally 🎶). They bonded over their shared love for all things musical, and what started as two friends soon turned into something much deeper. Fast forward a few years, and they’ve built such a beautiful life together — full of love, adventure, and countless moments that show just how deeply they care for one another.
Although they now call Michigan home for work, Florida will always have their hearts. It’s where they met, fell in love, and soon — where they’ll say “I do” at the beautiful River House in St. Augustine. They told us how much they adore their venue: the sweeping views of the water, the charm of the historic city, and of course… the parking lot (because if you’ve ever tried parking in downtown St. Augustine, you know that’s something worth celebrating 😂).
When they flew back to Florida for their engagement session, you could just see how happy they were to be here. We started their engagement session under the dreamy oak canopy of Magnolia Avenue, one of the prettiest spots in all of St. Augustine. The sunlight filtered through the moss, creating that perfect golden glow that makes everything feel a little bit magical. Sydney looked absolutely gorgeous in her flowy green dress — it caught the light beautifully with every twirl — and Trey couldn’t take his eyes off her (and we dont blame him!). Every time she laughed, he smiled even wider. You can truly feel their happiness in every single photo.
We then made our way to Vilano Beach just in time for sunset. The moment their feet hit the sand, it was like the rest of the world disappeared. The ocean breeze, the sound of the waves, the way the sky started to glow in soft pastels — it all felt so peaceful and intimate. You could literally see their nerves melt away with each step they took together. They kicked off their shoes, walked hand in hand along the shoreline, and let the evening unfold naturally. Trey would gently pull Sydney in close every few minutes, and the way she’d light up each time was the kind of genuine joy you can’t pose — it just happens naturally.
And then, as if the universe was celebrating right alongside them, the sky turned the most stunning shades of pink and orange — the kind of sunset photographers dream about. The light wrapped around them perfectly, and we couldn’t help but think, this is exactly what love looks like.
By the end of the night, it didn’t feel like a photo session at all — it felt like spending time with old friends, laughing until our cheeks hurt, and capturing two people who are so clearly meant to be together.
We absolutely can’t wait to celebrate Sydney and Trey this weekend at their River House wedding! Something tells us it’s going to be filled with laughter, happy tears, and those little moments that remind everyone why love is such a beautiful thing.
Sydney and Trey, we truly cannot wait to see you, to celebrate you, and to capture every unforgettable moment of the day you finally become husband and wife. We already know it’ll be absolutely unforgettable from start to finish. ✨
